This field simply reports the thickness of your composite model (as built from all your currently visible components). Gap Below ModelĪlternatively you can position your model by defining the gap between the bottom of the model and the bottom surface of the material. This distance positions your model according to the gap between the top of you model and the top surface of the material. You can also double left click on either of the three lines next to the slider to position the model at the top, center or bottom of the material. You can position your model within the material block wherever you wish by defining the gap distance either above or below your model. The thickness of your model must be less than the thickness of the material you wish to cut it from. When you come to creating toolpaths, it is important to review this information and ensure it is still valid and also to set the machining clearances. Some of these values will have been initially set when the job was first created (see Job Setup for more information).
